The Behavior Lab Co ("we", "us") builds study tools to help future behavior analysts build fluency. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Study data: the decks and cards you study, your responses, mastery snapshots, study streaks, and items flagged in your Shaping Station. This data is tied to your account so you can track your own progress.
• Booking details: if you book a coaching session, the date, time, and focus concepts you choose, so your coach can prepare.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card number — only a record that a payment or subscription occurred, keyed to your account.

How we use your information

• To provide and personalize your study experience and analytics.
• To send you account-related emails and an optional weekly progress digest.
• To process payments and manage your membership subscription.
• To schedule and prepare any coaching sessions you book.
• To improve the app and fix issues.

Memberships & payments

Full access to the app requires a membership subscription, billed monthly through our payment provider. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of your current billing cycle. Refunds are handled at our discretion — contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that power the app — our hosting and database platform, our payment provider, and the email and calendar services used for coaching confirmations — and only as needed to operate the service. Coaches can see the booking details and any notes from sessions you book with them.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your study data for as long as your account is active so you can review your progress. You may request export, correction, or deletion of your data, or close your account, by contacting us. Deleting your account removes the personal data we hold about you, except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment records).

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Children's privacy

The app is intended for students preparing for professional certification and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.
