A.1 · The goals of behavior analysisPublic sample
Behavior analysis describes behavior, predicts when it will occur, and produces behavior change that matters for the person. Its subject matter is the interaction between what a person does and the environment around them.
It is not: It is not the study of internal states as causes. Private events are behavior, and the analysis stays with the conditions that surround them.
